Yes, I recommend this product.
Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great
I recently bought these forks to replace some old ones. they are really sturdy and they just feel so right. You have massive tyre clearance for a 2.3 if you ever need to go that wide. And for the price, there's not no other forks that I would reccommend. They 're just a good all round pair of bmx forks.

Front Brake on the Dahon Mu Uno

I have noticed on the advertising videos on youtube that this bikes sometimes is displayed with a front brake. Is this an optional extra? If not is it something you would consider installing on the bike by request.
Hi there, by law, all bikes are to be sold with a front and rear brake. Without that, the bike is unsellable. So you would be sure to get a front brake with it.

Hope this helps.

Does this bike have the attachements that allow a rear bike to be attached to it? It looks like it does but not definately sure?

Hi there, im not sure what you mean by a rear bike exactly, but I would assume your talking about a trailer? As in for a kids bike? If so, then yes, it would fit very simply around seatpost. The beam would not obstruct the back wheel in no way and it be a perfect fit as the bar from the trailer bends round in a safisticated fashion.

Erh, I hoped this is what you was refering to. If you have any further questions.
Feel free to ask.

Can a child seat be added to this bike?

Hi there madam, yes, you would be able to fit a child seat to this bike. I've had added a few child seats that would fit and most of them, the child can go in them from when they are about 18+months onwards.

Hope this helps

What diameter seat post would I need for this frame

Hi there, we currently have the silk route in our store and the seatpost size is the same as this one which is a 30.9 diameter.

Can you fit front and rear pannier racks to this bike?

Hi there, unfortunately, you won't be able to fit a front pannier on this bike because it hasn't got the mounts on the forks to take one. Have you considered a Dawes Galaxy? As far as I'm aware, you can have a front pannier on there, its round about the same price and its also ideal for touring.. Maybe have a look at that bike.

Hope this helps.

are the brake levers adjustable for smaller fingers

I need bikes for my teenage daughters but they have small fingers , previous bikes have had a adjusting screw on the brake lever to reduce the gap between lever and hand grip
Hi there, you will have brake lever adjustment, it's just going to be how the pads and limters are set-up. Correctly done, you should be able to get the levers quite close to the bars without using power in the brakes.
Pop down to your local Evans store and have the head mechanic see to it for you.

Hope this helps.

Would this replace a Shimano Alivio on a Giant CRS 2.5 without additional mods?

Front Mech - Shimano C51, Cassette - SRAM PG830 12-28, Crankset - Shimano TX71 28/38/48, Shimano Alivio 24 speed shifters.
Hi there buddy, right, I had a simular problem to the one that your experiening. At the time I was running XT shifters and wondered if I could a sRAM X0 rear mech. Because they use different mechanisms, they wont be compatible. sRAM will work with Shimano rear mechs, but not the other way round.

So, in saying this, you would probably need an alternative.
SLX is only a peg down form XT in the food chain. It's really responsive and they have had really good reviews. And for the money, I reckon there is no other rear mech as good on the market.

I hope this helps you.

Is this suitable for an old ultegra 8 speed chainset?

Have found 10 speed chainrings fall too close to the outer ring, would you know if that be the case with this one? i guess I'm asking if its a 10 speed chainring or not?
Hi there, as far as I'm aware of, the new shimano chain rings are backwards compatible with the old tiagra and ultegra chain sets. This one will fit fine. You may have to adjust your front mech however, but other than that, it will fit perfectly fine.

Hope this helps.
